Nationally Organized Protest March -
Proposal -
A Single, Massive National, Coordinated Relay Protest March:

Starting Friday, November 9th, 2007 at dawn, begin a massive "Torch of Liberty" relay run / march across the country in every state starting at all major cities in each state converging at the respective State Capitols at the same time on Sunday evening at sunset, November 11, 2007 with a silent candle lit non denominational mass prayer at the stair steps to the capitol. Estimated total national attendance of 10 million people. Marches, speeches, teach-ins, and debates would be conducted at all state capitols during that weekend. The key objective: Massive, overwhelming show of resolve to alter our way of governing ourselves by eliminating corporate bribery as a systemic flaw of our representative government.

Theme:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. -- That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, -- That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

2. I like the idea
but we'd have a L-O-O-O-O-O-N-G way to run up here, through Canada and then walking on water. Alaska's capital is inaccessible by road.

:spank: The one was to be from Anchorage to the Mat-Su Valley, and the other was from Ketchikan to their airport on Gravina Island. NOTHING can get us closer to the capital, sadly, short of moving it, which doesn't seem to be in the cards.

But leave it dramatic. Call on everyone to gather in the square of the nearest city with a sign saying Impeach/End the War.
