Those who don't like people talking impeachment of Bush
Edited on Sat Jul-28-07 08:42 PM by Jack Sprat
and Cheney. Are you of the same mindset of those who don't like any talk of comparisons of the Bush Crime Family and the Nazis?

Not saying that you are wrong individually or collectively. Just trying to understand whom you are and what candidate you are supporting at this point in the process.

If I were voting today, I would be voting for the short little guy, who is trailing badly in the polls, named Dennis Kucinich. I don't think Dennis would have a problem with either Nazi comparisons and he certainly believes in impeachment.

I'm just trying to understand who you are and who your candidate is. Because, you see, I can understand people not wanting to expend energy for impeachment without the numbers, AND I can understand someone who doesn't like this administration being compared to the extreme evil of Nazis. I can understand it. But I wouldn't be moved to critique those who did. But, you people are motivated to do it, so I think you are more measured in your actions and moderate in your thinking. So, without prejudging your ideas or your candidate, would you tell me who your favorite candidate is now? Even if it is one of the Republican candidates, I promise not to critique your choice.

Dennis Kucinich is THE MAN. He has a PLAN. He'll get us out of Iraq and keep us out of IRAN.

4. I did happen to notice while not perfectly, it still
seemed to roughly divide between the same lines. There must be something to your question. Since I'm not one of them, I'll bow out and just wanted to note the observation.

7. I'm just trying to understand them. They are obviously
moderates in tone and disposition. There is nothing wrong with it. I just want to know who they are supporting for president, without any pre-judgment. I didn't think either of these arguments were necessarily right or wrong.

6. Who doesn't want people talking about impeachment?
Seriously, I haven't seen that sentiment expressed here at DU...just disagreement over whether or not to push it, pressing the dems or repukes, and how to go about it.

I'm of the mindset that impeachment likely won't happen because the votes aren't there. There is a loooooonnnnngggggg thread I started about Nazi comparisons where I expressed my disagreement with many here at DU.

As far as dem candidates go...I don't know, yet. I haven't decided who I'm going to vote for in the primaries. There are a lot of good candidates that I think would make a great president, but I'll vote for who I think is the most winnable, whose ideas most closely match mine and who I think would be a good president for our country. It's still very early and I'm glad I've got plenty of time to decide who fits all of those qualifiers I mentioned. I take a lot of time thinking about this so I don't expect to have a decision any time soon.

And no, I'm not going to engage anyone in a discussion on this thread about those two issues since this one is asking a question about dem candidates.
