As soon as you stop taking the prescriptions, you get horny again. Pedophiles know this, and that's why when they get caught and sentenced, they agree to undergo "temporary" castration. They then get time off their sentence, and are out and molesting kids earlier thanks to earlier parole.

As to the idea that pedophilia isn't hardwired; of course it is. Just like heterosexuality, homosexuality, and the like are, too. It ain't a "lifestyle choice".

If he requested this BEFORE he acted on his impulses, then I would respect him for realizing he is messed up and needs help.
