For All Who Haven't Seen..US vs John Lennon.. Video Online! |
|
just finished watching this spectacular documentary and I believe that it is a must see for those who lived through the Vietnam War and Nixon, and for all those to young or not on this planet during this time. History does repeat itself. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=777046699234389996&q=us+vs+john+lennon&total=377&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0

4. this is completely bizarre, |
|
i was surfing around the net, and came across the chance to watch this just tonite- I just finished watching the whole thing, and was planning on posting a link to it here- when i see your post!!
What a coincidence-
I was struck by so many similarities to today- and loved Gore Vidal's comment about "Mr. Nixon and Mr. Bush".
I also think "Declare Peace" is worth resurrecting-
What an inspiring, painful, wonderful documentary this is. Glad you posted it- very glad i was able to see it, and recommend it to everyone.
Peace, blu
"Time wounds all heels". J.Lennon

8. What are the odds of both of us finding it at the same time and then intending to post it? |
|
When Vidal said Mr. Nixon and Mr. Bush I literally applauded. When watching this I kept thinking of Dennis Kucinich's wish for a Department Of Peace.
Peace to you blu, Ommmmmmmmmmm

I've bookmarked and will watch tomorrow. I didn't get to the theatre to see it, so I'm glad it's online now.

It is indeed a "must see" for those who lived through that period (I have learned much so far) and especially for those who have only corporate media versions of that history.

Every young person should watch this to see how the young once took to the streets for their country. The silence these days is very eerie and bizarre. I have always said that even though what we had in the WH then was just as evil in its intent we still had brotherhood and hope and triumphed...at least for a while. I don't feel that way anymore even though I know I should try to, and that is very sad made all the more sad that John Lennon is no longer with us. What a beautiful genius he was whose music and genius will live on regardless. Perhaps by our young people watching this it will inspire a new generation to peacefully take back what was taken from them. I will definitely be passing this link on.

23. Ironically, my 20 year old son told me about it and recommended it to me. I believe |
|
many of his friends have seen it, and it is wonderful and sad at the same time. When you think that when watching it, they are realizing that history has repeated itself and something should have been done back then to make sure abuses of power never happened again. I feel that my generation has failed them. I know I got too complacent in the 80s and 90s, being consumed with my own life and fell asleep politically. I was pissed with Iran-Contra and knew that we were behind death squads in Central and South America, but I thought someone else would stop the madness. No one did. Even John Kerry and BCCI. What happened with that? Shrub could have been sent to prison for his stake in it. Nothing happened. So here we are, on the precipice of losing our Democracy and I am really beginning to believe, that with the Democratic candidates that are running, that the Fix is in.

17. Here is a link to a UK site that has links to videos online. This is the movie link |
|
to the site. Scroll down to the bottom (its in alpha order) and on the right hand side you'll find it. It might not work but I hope it does! http://tv-links.co.uk/index.do/4
