the correct pronounciation of Cheney is CHEEEney
have heard we've all been mispronouncing CHENEY's name...and he's been getting a chuckle out of it

according to Thom Hartman and other sources, the correct pronounciation is Not CHAIN-ney, it's CHEEE-ney

this means my little chant will now rhyme:

Don't be a weenie
Impeach bush and CHEEE-ney

3. Or maybe....
...Dick Cheee-ney's weee-ney is a really small peee-nie, which is why he owns so many large caliber guns.

9. I bet he doesn't chuckle
I bet it pisses him off. I know it pisses me off when others mispronounce my last name. I shall continue to pronounce it CHAIN-ney. :)

10. Not "NEY" - It's chee-NEE. I heard wingnut Alan SIMPSON say it on Tweety's show
2 or 3 yrs ago, saying that he has been a close friend of the Dick for scores of years and that the pronunciation was CHEE-NEE. Tweety didn't start using it until some time later.

I started using CHEENEE soon after SIMPSON said that, just because it sounds rougher and ruder than CHAINY. Long before Tweety, but realizing I'm nobody and Tweety is Somebody!!1
