Iglesias: "I Believe There To Be Incriminating, Possibly Criminal Evidence In Those E-mails" (NOW)
NOW this week?
Their story links the 2004 GOP voter intimidation/disqualification efforts and the firing of the US attorneys:

voter caging

They also interviewed ex-US Atty David Iglesias,
who, I think, hits the nail on the head:

"That's why there has been such a circling of the wagons around Karl Rove and Harriet Miers and Sarah Taylor. I believe there to be incriminating, possibly criminally incriminating evidence contained in those e-mails and other memoranda."

2. But why are the Dems not pusing this opinion when given a forum to speak?
They use all kinds of weasel words to dance aroung this. They need to attack someone like Orin Hatch whenever he comes out with the "no creditable evidence" found talking point. But the Dem spokespeople just let the pundits and Republican spokespeople get away with their talking points.

3. David Iglesias Interview
Web-Extended Interview: David Iglesias - NOW

NOW: How would you characterize the act of enlisting a U.S. attorney in activities that will benefit a political party at the polls?

DI: It's reprehensible. It's unethical. It's unlawful. It very well may be criminal ... I know it's a marked departure from prior administrations, both Republican and Democrat, who understood that U.S. attorneys, as chief federal law enforcement officials, have to stay out of politics. And that's consistent with what Former Attorney General John Ashcroft told me in the summer of 2001. When he said, "Politics cannot enter into your decision making as a US attorney."

I can't think of many Americans who would not agree. Iglesias is a Republican BTW. Thanks for the link!

5. What
Iglesias said is exactly WHY the Dem's need to push real hard in their investigations. There HAS to be some serious reason why Bu$hCo are trying so hard to run interference, block and obstruct at every turn. One doesn't put that much effort out only because one can, however with the level of pigheadedness we have seen from Bu$h, who knows.

8. I think we need to find the democrats with a backbone AND
bombard them with phone calls. Tell them they better go for the jugular with the republicans or they won't be around in 2009 either. Tell them, we the American People are sick and tired of being smirked at and lied to. That bush is not a god, he is not a king, he is not a dictator, altho he acts like one. He was elected (and there are a hell of a lot of doubts about this) to govern this country in the wishes of the majority of the American People, not to make money for his FAMILY, corporations and himself.

Tell these congress people they can be replaced in 2009 the same as us getting a new president.
