Rangel and Shays on Blitzer's Late Edition
Edited on Sun Jul-29-07 10:31 AM by eleny
I hope a video of it makes it to the net - You Tube or C&L. Shays mentioned "energy" in relation to Iraq and Rangel jumped on it asserting that this was the most honest thing spoken. That we're there for the oil and that's why soldiers are dying while others play soccer or leave on a month long vacation.

Shays also admitted that his vote to give the president the right to go into Iraq was a bad vote.

It was a very good exchange.

2. They came back after the break, too
Rangel got the very last word and his statement was solid. Hope you get to see it.

Their discussion was low key in tone, as you would expect. But the substance was on fire.

with all this "impeachment stuff" and subpoenaing.
The camera caught Charlie chuckling and trying to keep a straight face.

4. methinks Shays is scared of Jim Himes
and, will his actual votes back up what he says?

Jim Himes looks like a very strong candidate to unseat the last New England house Republic.
