11. Ya' might wanna run that through spell check.
Some friends of mine, who happen to be Jewish, liberal and possessing the surname "Wiesel," would not care to be associated with snakes or so-called "conservatives."

6. I stand with the Constitution, Pat.
Not bringing these two to task violates congressional Constitutional duty.

8. Patrick Buchanan is NUTS
... and he's a big believer in the power of the executive.

No surprise here

9. predictable
he'd say the opposite if the tables were turned. Commentary from zealots is pointless.

keeping fricking secrets from oversight violates more than separation of powers

separation of powers is predicated on checks and balances. if one branch is able to function autonomously, then there is no separation of powers. All the power is in that branch.

Its like playing rock/paper/scissors but saying scissors cut rock.

10. I think that he
means that there are some people within any administration who can easily be made to answer to congress, and others who can only under narrow circumstances. This is what Senator Byrd was speaking of, for example,on page 78 of his book "Losing America" when he spoke of why there had been no congressional oversight of the Cheney-declared "shadow government." It was being run by Andy Card, and his position had no congressional oversight.

There is a narrow range of circumstance that allows congress to put anyone from the executive branch on the hot seat. They know, as does Patrick Buchanan, exactly what that is.

12. He also stood with
Bush and the Supremes when they stole Florida in 2000. Pat is in that not so wonderful position of claiming to be an Independent while doing his sister's bidding. Fugg him.

13. Hey Pat nobody gives a rats patootie
where you stand. If you stand with bush watch out because he will try to hide behind you when the you know what hits the fan. Then you will be covered with what hits the fan and your hard work will be covered with manure.

14. This is Buchanan's Ghost of Nixon malady.
Anything that takes him back to the good old days receives such knee-jerk responses from him. He's still bravely protecting the boss -- even if the boss is dead.
