NRSC Launches Site Attacking Franken
Are national Republicans increasingly worried about the vulnerability of GOP Senator Norm Coleman and the threat posed to him by Al Franken's unlikely Senate bid?

Looks that way – the NRSC has launched a new Web assault on the comedian-turned-candidate.

The Republican senatorial committee has unveiled a new Web site – FranklyFranken.com – accusing Franken of A) being a loser, B) not being a true Minnesotan, and C) flip-flopping on funding the war. We've got reaction to all three criticisms after the jump.

From franklyfranken.com:

Is he really serious about representing Minnesota?

His enraged liberal radio show failed, his radio station went under, and he missed the spotlight... so he decided to move to Minnesota and run for the United States Senate.

4. They should worry about Coleman.
But it won't do much good, because that turncoat sleaze is not representing MN, but Franken will.

5. Not being a true Minnesotan?
All you have to do is wait for Coleman to open his mouth, and you can hear exactly where he comes from. It ain't Minnesota, friends.

Or, as Franklen puts it so well: "I'll be the only New York Jew in the race who actually grew up in Minnesota."

National Republicans have been worried about Coleman's vulnerability since the day he took office. He won on a fluke, and everyone knows it, including him.

Of course, there are a lot of other DFLers in the race...

7. I hope Al
comes out with both barrels blasting. Talk about lies:
  • His enraged liberal radio show failed,
  • his radio station went under,
  • and he missed the spotlight...
  • so he decided to move to Minnesota and run for the United States Senate.
