Kentucky Free Republic Meeting - After Action Report
RonPaulLives | 07/28/07 | RonPaulLives

Posted on 07/28/2007 7:04:00 PM PDT by RonPaulLives

Hello You People,

The Kentucky Chapter Meeting is now concluded. I wish we could have had a larger turnout. But we had fun, nonetheless. In attendance were RonPaulLives, SomeCallMeTim, Skinkinthegrass, BlueOneGolf (and his family), and Lurker Jeff.

To quote SomeCallMeTim, "I learned a great deal about Kentucky politics that I didn’t know. It was also really fun to hear the various brands of Conservatism that we all have. So many viewpoints and varying priorities.... but, we all were united in our love of Liberty. I guess this constant unites Freepers more than any other." A-men to that.

We have decided that the next Freeper meeting will be held in Lexington, more details to be decided later.

And now the much-anticipated results of our Republican Primary 2008 Straw Polls. Those in attendance were asked to give their top three choices. The first poll was conducted without Fred Thompson in the race:

1. Duncan Hunter
2. Mike Huckabee
3 (tie). Mitt Romney
3 (tie). Tom Tancredo
5. Ron Paul

The second poll was conducted with Fred Thompson as a choice:

1. Fred Thompson
2. Duncan Hunter
3. Mike Huckabee
4 (tie). Ron Paul
4 (tie). Mitt Romney
6. Tom Tancredo

And, without going into any post-poll analysis, let it be known that Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, Sam Brownback and Tommy Thompson received no votes.

5. You forgot blueonegolf brought his family.
Count two kids as one vote and there you have it. Of course, he might even have brought his wife! Nah, she probably doesn't like that old politics junk and wouldn't want to vote, anyway.

6. numbers don't add up....
if they had 5 people attending, then how can there be a 14 vote total in the first poll, and a 20 vote total in the second?
