The talking heads were discussing how long Bush's loyalty to Gonzales would protect Gonzales. They seemed to think that every thing that's happened over at the Justice Department was a result of Gonszales's incompetence and/or him going off the reservation. Don't they understand that everything that Gonzales did he did under orders from Bush and/or Bush's brain?

1. I thoroughly enjoyed the hour
bush and gonzo were crapped on repeatedly for lies, incompetence, loyalty leading to destructive behavior, gross arrogance, even bush's dui coverup was thrown in for good measure.

2. Of course they do. Diane Rehm and NPR are part of the Media Industrial Complex as well
It's all government owned and operated now via foundations like the Ford Foundation.

NPR/PBS was taken over quite a while ago.

People listening to NPR/PBS should realized they are being censored as well.

3. I wouldn't say that, I'd say this was a case of residual disbelief.
At this point, it'd be easier to believe that George pees on the grass in the Rose Gaden than some of the stunts he's actually pulled. Sending Gonzales to Ashcroft's hospital room?!

4. what, you don't think he does that?
I would bet he's done that more than once. Ducks out there at night, tells the marine guard something like "gotta drain the crankcase - heh heh!" and waters the shrubbery. You just KNOW he does. He is so self-impressed he would HAVE to do that. I bet he's pissed Clinton beat him to it on getting a BJ in the oval office.

5. give me a break
diane rehm is one of the best interviewers going today. i`ve heard here rip some people who flat out lie..after a caller pointed out that blackwater was funded off the books the next week she had an hour devoted to blackwater. if you listen to all the programs on npr you`ll find the majority have no use for bush or his government. garrison keillor is right wing?

8. Diane didn't do the show today...it was Susan Page and she never asks
the hard or interesting questions that Diane does. The guests today were Norm Ornstein, and Suart Taylor. They both spun back and forth but kept putting out "politics" & Bush loyalty by Gonzo was what was going on. Diane would have cut through their spin and gotten much better answers. Callers were all freepers today...and when Diane is on..there are many fewer of them.

10. Susan Page is the RW to Diane's Thoughtful, insightful questions.
When she's on...which is often...because of Diane's "vocal problem" the show goes to the Right...and since Susan is the Managing Editor of USA Today...then you can understand she's in the DEN OF...M$M and "protecting" the Status Quo" of the NeoCons/Repugs is what she is about. She owes them alot along with the Cokie Roberts and the rest of them who were allowed to stay at NPR/PBS after Repugs CUT FUNDING TO BONE and Bush put his handpicked people in to "kill off" PBS AND NPR.

7. Where's the little sarcasm thingy?
you know, I really really really hate those stupid smiley things, but sometimes, they come in pretty handy.

PS I have never used one and never will use one. My personal opinion is that a person loses an IQ point everytime he or she uses an emoticon.
