Giuliani's plan kind of sucks |
|
On Tuesday, Giuliani intends to outline his health care plan. Giuliani's goal is to give individuals more control over health care decisions and to encourage state officials to come up with innovative solutions. Key to his plan is a $15,000 tax deduction for families to buy private health insurance, instead of getting insurance through employers. Any leftover funds could be rolled over year-to-year for medical expenses, under Giuliani's plan. "That cash allows you to go out and buy cheaper and cheaper policies; you can have higher and higher deductibles," Giuliani said earlier this month in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
I give up how does this give me more control of my health care. I'm still a slave to the insurance company. Who can deny me coverage on a whim. Worse I lose the buying power of my large company thus am almost certain to get a worse rate. Even worse higher and higher deductibles discourages routine medical exams, which lead to higher rates of catastrophic problems. This plan sounds even worse than the current system. Who would want this but your insurance company? Why do Republicans constantly believe in big business that answers to no one, over the government that in theory answers to you?

3. Typical Rich Asshole solution |

Hey, just cut my taxes enough and I will pay for said item.
Dumbass.
It really is almost impossible for them to understand isn't it?
What a complete fucking lightweight.
I sincerely hope the Repukes nominate this shit for brains.
Nice idea.
Here's a grand idea coming soon from the Guiliani campaign: Tax cuts to fund homeless shelters and food banks. THIS WAY the homeless and hungry can simply feed themselves with all of the money they would have if their tax burden went from zero to ....hey, wait a minute....
I know this was an insincere proposal from an insincere, rich asshole, but still, why even float this turd? Why not just LIE?
Oh my fucking god do I hate this man.

Who doesn't think the Government will do a good job. Basically saying they will make a government that doesn't work. I want to elect people that actually believe they can govern.
Who thinks a company with 10 K of employee's can't get a "better" rate than you all by yourself? Who doesn't understand the power of collective bargaining?
