Don't Forget - If You Typed It And Hit The Enter Key NSA Read It
Edited on Mon Jul-30-07 05:56 PM by ThomWV
At this very moment every single thing you do is being watched by the NSA or one of its sister Agencies. A profile for you has already been created, that last posting was just added to it.

Your profile is interesting. It started simply enough, just your income tax records. Then your credit background information was added and that was followed pretty closely by your medial information. Dental is in there too. They got your voter registration, your driving record, and just recently they added your month by month credit card use history - a gold mine that one. Your personal property tax receipt is in there, so they know what you drive; they have your payroll records all the way back to that summer you spent as a gofer on the construction job. Your college transcript and every thing you did in public school from the 3rd grade forward is in one neat little file. All the records of your travel are there of course as is the record you created when you applied for the passport you're still waiting on. They hit the jackpot when you got your E-Mail account and of course they follow your postings here and elsewhere. Remember that .22 rifle you bought 10 years ago? Well, they think you still have it.

You've only come up three times in trial listings created to weed out undesirables. One more positive hit on a trial run and you'll start getting special attention. They have some new predictive models that kick out lists of the greatest potential threats to the Administration they plan to run soon, god help you if you come up hot one one of those lists.

We have a President who can name anyone an enemy combatant, here or elsewhere. That person could then be swept off the street without notifying anyone. The Great Writ is gone so there's no way to get before a Judge, in fact there is no reason to tell you what you've been arrested for, no attorney, no guarantee that you will even be jailed in this country. They can torture you.

And that is the state of things today.

39. No, they are very excited, I assure you.
1)Analyzing the first letters of your subject, the word "boot", a neo-nazi marker is apparent: "(b)ored (o)ut (o)f (t)heir minds."
2)The using of "watching" and "minds" in your subject line is clearly a warning to your other agents that what's going on here is a psychological test, to analyze the responders.
3) And the first letters of "Howdy agent Mike", your whole message, spells "Ham", meaning behind your smile you are calling agent mike a fascist pig.

See? Once you learn to see the snipe, huntin' can be be fun!!!! :)

5. Screw 'em.
Just thinking of the sublime boredom of their lives spent sifting through so much crap!

A few months back I got hooked up with the address for requesting a Freedom of Information Act report of a search of your own name (or alias, or whatever). When I received my reply, a brief letter showing no mentions of Mr. __________, I showed it to my gal. "Hey sweetie! Look! I'm not on any of their lists!" she turned to me knowingly and replied,

"oh, you are now."

12. I'm starting to think we're getting ridiculously paranoid around here.
What with the "Bush is definitely going to declare martial law and sic mercs on us" posts and stuff like this. Unless you start threatening to kill administration members or blow up buildings or whatever you are not going to be swept off the street by the Men in Black. Simply opposing the policies of the government or speaking out or marching against the war is not going to get you sent to Gitmo or a black ops torture site. Let's get a grip, these guys have 18 months to go in their term and then they are off to count their money and retire onto the lecture circuit. They have no time for the powerless, basically meaningless small fries that we are. They would have to cart off half the country, it's just silly.

15. I wouldn't misunderestimate the sheer vindictiveness of these slime creatures...
You've read, or at least heard of, a couple of recent executive orders in which Bush claims the right to run all three branches of government in a "crisis," which he and he only gets to define? And a third that says he can steal your stuff for thoughtcrime?

If you're aware of them, read no further. If not, have a look at them in their original form or just read some excerpts, along with links to articles by actual smart people who are pretty damn concerned.

This is the most recent, and sanctions property and liquid asset seizure for pretty much anyone BushCo deems a pain in the ass. Here's the text of the directive:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/07/20070717-3.html

Here's a particularly awful part:

"(c) the term "United States person" means any United States citizen, permanent resident alien, entity organized under the laws of the United States or any jurisdiction within the United States (including foreign branches), or any person in the United States.

(B) undermining efforts to promote economic reconstruction and political reform in Iraq or to provide humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people;

Sec. 5. For those persons whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order who might have a constitutional presence in the United States, I find that, because of the ability to transfer funds or other assets instantaneously, prior notice to such persons of measures to be taken pursuant to this order would render these measures ineffectual. I therefore determine that for these measures to be effective in addressing the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13303 and expanded in Executive Order 13315, there need be no prior notice of a listing or determination made pursuant to section 1(a) of this order."

And here’s comment on what this actually means in real life:

http://www.inteldaily.com/?c=172&a=2839

The following is a link to two earlier directives, signed May 9, 07, both of which provide the framework and excuses for implementing martial law (which is what declaring a national state of emergency means to these swine). Note that Bush is to be the sole guarantor of the continuance of Constitutional law under these conditions, and that he’s the only one who gets to define what constitutes grounds for declaring a state of emergency.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/05/20070509-12.html

A couple of looks behind the curtain:

“(b) "Catastrophic Emergency" means any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions;“

“(18) The Secretary of Defense, in coordination with the Secretary of Homeland Security, shall provide secure, integrated, Continuity of Government communications to the President, the Vice President, and, at a minimum, Category I executive departments and agencies.”

“(6) The President shall lead the activities of the Federal Government for ensuring constitutional government.”

Comment on this blueprint for totalitarianism includes this article detailing the rise of fascism under Bush:

http://onlinejournal.com/artman/publish/article_2143.shtml

This one is specific to the DHS and National Security directives:

http://progressive.org/mag_wx051807

And this one is my personal favorite and deals with fabricated “terrorist” attacks (more on that below) as pretext for nuking Iran:

http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=6134

And if all that doesn't disturb you, there's always the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act (suspending habeas corpus) to ponder. And if all that STILL doesn't disturb you, let me know your choice of drugs or alcohol.

A agree. There's a sense of trendy self-righteousness for those sharing the bunker mentality mentality. It was very vogue for Freeper types during the Clinton administration to maintain and justify it on the MSN political boards.

Lot's of, "well, I have my guns, my hand-me-down military rations and a tent-- I'm ready for anything!" crap going on.

Laughed at it then, laugh at it now; and five bucks says I'll be laughing at it next week.

(I know, I know... I won't be laughing when "they" have me chained up in Gitmo or some such... :eyes: )

14. Shocking news...
My standard disclaimer on some personal emails these days, but only the ones sent to people who are also neck-deep in the same shit:

In closing, it wouldn't be 21st century Amerika if I didn't pause to deliver a special message to our home-grown Hitler Youth: If you're listening in, you miserable NSA snitches and voyeurs, fuck you, your mothers, your mother's mothers, and every single one of the women in your families down through the generations, even unto the Middle Ages, and hopefully that grand tradition will continue into the future as we evolve into Amerika v2.0: Where Fascist Boot meets Dull, Vacuous Amerikan Face, thanks in part to your ability to swallow BushCo's horseshit and lock your morals and conscience in an impenetrable vault for the duration of the Reich.

Sincerely, blah, blah, blah

I have no illusions about my relationship to the state, or it to me. I'm hoping mass impeachment happens before martial law; it's about the only thing that can save all our sorry, seditious asses.

PS -- Oh snitches? The opinions expressed here are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of Democraticunderground, LLC or its members. However, there's this twit over at FreeRepublic you might want to take a look at... ;-)

Hey NSA boys, why don't you try being one of the regular guys and eat prunes at night so you can wake up with that get-up-and-go feeling.

that had folks suggesting the big block party we were all going to have in our new quarters in Guantanamo??? I recall something about margaritas or mojitos being served???

Helloooooooooooooooo NSA!!

I send money to Russ Feingold (He's my senator)
I bought a copy of "Stupid White Men" from Amazon
Also, I quoted Cat Stevens (as he was known then) in my valedictorian address.

Oh, I'm on the list all right.

55. I missed that one, dammit.
I was on the one trying to swap my lemon chicken for someone's extra helping of fruit. I figure that sending an email to the UN offering to be a weapons inspector before Boosh's War (tm) -- with copies to both the Iraq and US delegations -- got me on at least three lists.

Gee, maybe that means I'll get three portions of lemon chicken! :woohoo:

Unfortunately, I hate chicken.

34. back in the 60s, when I was working on the Clearwater project . . .
I frequently had occasion to visit Pete Seeger at his home in Beacon . . . we used to joke about the van that was often parked across the road from Pete's driveway, and speculate on how many photos they had of our various license plates . . . so my file goes back at least 40 years . . . and I'm sure that whoever's reading it is bored as hell . . .

57. Terra! Fear! Doom!
I hate posts like this, and not just because of the fact that they cast logic aside like a used rubber in a Nevada cat-house. I think monitoring even 10% of E-mail sent daily would require tens of thousands of employees, which the NSA and it's "sister agencies" don't have. Moreover, they would spend a HUGE amount of man-hours reading the same 100 crappy internet jokes, pictures to the kids to grand-ma, spam for viagra and millions of porn ads. The chance of finding any useful E-mail or internet content would be so small as to make it nearly impossible. Lets also toss out the fact that it would take a terabyte storage facility the size of say, Vermont, to house the data storage because why let shit like that get in the way of some good doom and gloom?

What concerns me even more is that fact that this is EXACTLY what G-Dubs and his boys (and girls) want you thinking. Anytime they can scare a few more of us into keeping quiet, into not expressing ourselves, into hiding, they get exactly what they want...a more easily controlled and intimidated population. Don't post on a message board...the NSA might be watching!

I won't be intimidated and I won't buy the fear. I've yet to see any black helicopters circling my house (and I live near DC, I should be an easy target) and I've yet to have the jack-booted thugs appear in the dead of night to whisk me away to re-eduction camp.

plays into BuchCo's hands: It doesn't matter to them whether we're scared shitless of Al Qaida or scared shitless of the Dick of Death. As long as we're scared shitless, it's all good as far as they're concerned.

62. Exactly. Thanks for saying this so well.
I've had friends and acquaintances tell me they're nervous about talking to me because I post here, and have involved myself in couple of anti-war groups, although not as much as I'd like.

Instead of being outraged that they would even have to consider that their government is randomly and illegally spying on all of us, they buy right into the myth of the all powerful big brother government, run, as it is, by your Gonzaleses and Chertoffs and Brownies and so forth.

You know, those sharp as whip governance types...:sarcasm:

66. WRONGO. Good hook though. It is PURE HUBRIS to think someone even reads the POST!
And, with 100,000,000 monkeys at their keyboards everyday, where are they going to find the people to read the slightest fraction of all the crap we word process.

Therein lies the beginning of the data mining scandal. They cannot READ it because there is simply too much to read. So they needed to DATA MINE it. That's where the violation of the Constitution arose. By using a search processor to find keywords and phrases, just like the Google user, you do not need to read the entire Internet to find what you are looking for. And, in all probability, Gonzales is the lawyer who said, "Data mining the communications of everyone in the USA is not a violation of privacy." And then he went on to provide some creative rationale for the end run, which Bush used to burn your Constitutional rights to ashes.

NO, they are not reading it. They are data mining it.

Oh, and they did all the things you mention long ago. Nothing new in any of that, not even the torture is new. That has always been the state of things when there has been a state. The only thing worse is when there was no state.

We are the state of things. There is no government, just people playing their roles. As we speak and write, hopefully someone is listening and reading.

68. and you forgot.....
they probably have information pertaining to six other people that share your name.

Plus, about 1/3 of the entries are wrong because the obtained them from the info-brokers that put profit over quality, thus the data was not scrubbed.

Then you went and confused them when you lost your grocery card and some student has been using it to buy Raman noodles at the discount.

They are confused about your ailments since the prescription records didn't specify veterinary or yourself.

Worse yet, they are confused about your gender because you diligently filled out all those warranty cards with conflicting information for all those years.

Of course, they could always outsource the entire database to India to have the crack developers straighten it all out.....

In lieu of an automated way of untangling the mess they might hire a few people to take a look but there is a lot of attrition in those jobs because they are bored to death.
