General Clark gets P.Oed and takes no crap from Right wing tool..re:Tillman
General Clark did an interview request with some radio show out of Philly (WPHT), I think it is some kind of Right and Left tag team in the morning (like Hanity and Colmes) Right wing hag blow hard tries to ambush interview and General Clark but he's not having it......He really gets mad!

You can listen to the audio from the radio sight.
The audio link is on the right side of the page midway under :

Dom Time: General Wesley Clark 7-30-07
Dom talks to General Wesley Clarke on the
latest developments in the Pat Tillman case

http://www.thebigtalker1210.com/

snip>>>>

Suzanne LaFrankie: General Clark, Suzanne La Frankie. You know, I'm looking ant this and it, to me, it, it's an old story. I mean, this happened. It's a tragedy. I think there was cover up, but I don't see any new wrinkles in this and, to, to, to go off on this possibility of conspiracy, I think is irresponsible.

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: Well I'm not quite sure what you're saying, but let's, let, let's talk about what the story is. The story is that a man who was a professional football player and his brother volunteered to serve in the Army Rangers, and he died under circumstances that were at best a friendly fire accident, that the family was given an award which wasn't earned or merited, an award for heroism in action when the chain of command, someone in the chain of command knew that there wasn't any enemy force there. He never was in contact with the enemy, which-

Suzanne LaFrankie: General Clark, with all due respect though that is, that is-

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: (inaudible under interruption) But let me finish!

Suzanne LaFrankie: But that is old.

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: Excuse me!

Suzanne LaFrankie: That is old news.

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: Excuse me, sir. Excuse me.

Suzanne LaFrankie: Ma'am.

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: You're asking, you're making an implication of something I said that was improper. Is that right? So, I'm going to explain it. I'm saying that this family has never received the information from the government they've requested. And the chain of command should not cover up incidents like this, and that is NOT an old story, sir. That is a very important live story, because our country's safety depends on the integrity of the men and women in uniform and their ability to tell the truth under adverse circumstances. And that's why this is an important issue.

Suzanne LaFrankie: I'm not saying it's not important. And my name is Suzanne.

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: Well.

Suzanne LaFrankie: I'm a woman, but thank you.

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: Well, I couldn't tell who you were ma'am. I don't know you. Al I know is that you cut me off when I, after you'd asked me a question. Didn't give me a chance to explain.

Dom Giordano: Alright, General, that's-

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: So, I don't think that's-

Dom Giordano: Okay.

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK: -the right interviewing technique.

Suzanne LaFrankie: (snickers)

1. Ah, it's "old" news
Like how John Kerry was awarded those Purple Hearts that the wingers were so up in arms about. 34 men who served with Kerry said he bled for every one of those citations. One guy who wasn't even there said he didn't. And who did the media lavish attention on?

Uh huh. "Old" news, Suzanne. So very, very old it is.

2. they really do all just read the same playbook don't they
trot out the same comebacks time and again

either clinton did it too, or its old news or there is no underlying crime, nothing to see here , move along

I must say I am surprised Clark got himself suckered into that. This so-called interview technique of getting two people on and then sic-ing them on each other is Jerry Springer stuff. Miller light commercial stuff. If the person on the "other side" is not qualified, does not have facts to offer, actual points to debate, then you're screwed. You can't make your points; you just get into arguing their phoney ones.

5. The problem is, that it works every time.
Their base, and their listeners eat it up, and repeat it to their friends.

It's the only way that people could still think that Hussein had anything to do with 9/11.

9. She had no arguement.
I thought the general took no shit and stopped her nonsense. Even if he thought she was a man

GENERAL WESLEY CLARK:" If it was an old story, why did you ask me to be on the radio this morning?"

You really have to listen to see how much her effort bombed!

23. He handled it perfectly
The Right is overwhelmingly disproportionally represented in on air media, especially radio. We can not simply surrender our airwaves to them, or all of the listening public who tune into their favorite AM radio jocks for distraction on their way to work. Clark refused to put up with being talked over, he called her on her rudeness, then he called her on her agenda, then he called her on her lack of professionalism.

For the record I think Clark made his point which is why she was so desparate to break in when she did. And Clark's come back, "if this is just old news then why did you ask me on this morning (may not be the exact quote) was classic. I loved that line.

3. When crimes are covered up....
everything old is new again. God! The nerve of these people.

"I don't see any new wrinkles in this and, to, to, to go off on this possibility of conspiracy, I think is irresponsible."

These people just have no heart....what if this were her child. I just can't imagine being this cold.

10. People are Republicans until they are confronted with Republican reality.
I've seen it time and again.....reformed Republicans who loved their Party until they became a victim of that philosophy. It can be a lost job or a lost son, but then they get to see how little a Republican governing philosophy cares when they are the victim.

22. They only care when something bad happens to THEM.
The poor sod down the street? Who cares about him? If he's poor and suffering, it's his own fault.

Then something happens to THEM and it's time for "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Pathetic.

No mention of the DSM on mainstream media for weeks. Suddenly, it becomes an issue. New talking point?

It's old news.

12. And speaking of JEEESUS, he plays a role in the Tillman shooting
The kid, O'Neal, who was praying, was told something by Tillman. O'Neal says he wanted him to shape up, an unnamed chaplain says he called him a 'snivelling fucker' or some other expletive with snivelling in front of it.

Why would a chaplain say such a thing, if it weren't true?

Maybe because Tillman was an ATHEIST.

That puts a different spin on it, eh?

I'm totally confused--I'd like to see the full report, myself.

7. Suzanne just wanted to get her talking point accross and really had no interest
in letting Clarke explain. It galls me to know end how some lightweight light Suzie can think she knows more about the military and the Tillman case than Wesley Clarke. The RW isn't interested in the truth...only perpetuating the Republican talking points.

Way to support the soldiers, Suzanne!

13. why do dems fall into this trap..the first interruption they should stop and say..why did you ask me
ask me to come on your show//why..why did you ask me on your show?? are you the expert or did you want me on here because I AM AN EXPERT..then ask the bitch./.how long did you serve this nation in uniform??

of course so many of the * war cheerleaders never served a damn day of their lives..so turn the tables on the little lilly livered fuckers!

stop talkimg and confront them..then TELL THEM..IF YOU WANT ME TO BE HERE..I WILL ANSWER WITHOUT INTERUPTION..OR I WILL HANG UP..or if on tv get up and walk off..end it ..when they sit there and take this shit they give away their power...
until this behaviour and tactic is confronted over and over again..they will get away with this shit..

nice and polite does not work with these fuckers..confront them with their own shit!! only be prepared for it and hold your ground...do not allow this crap..

they are allowed it because dems are too damn polite!

and nice..

enough with nice!

i am done with nice..

i get in the fuckers faces..and i won't let any of them pull that shit with me..so why do so many who are experts put up with this ?

shut them the fuck down!

but when you do..make such a scene that they are left with their tail between their legs!

fly

25. it's interesting the exact point where Clark explodes
he was very calm up until that point, making his points and sharing his perspective as a veteran and commander. He was giving his interviewers the benefit of the doubt that they were interested in his thoughts, even responding calmly and thoughtfully when he was first challenged.

28. Funny how rightists never dismiss Chappaquiddick as "old news."
They jes' LOVE dragging Ted Kennedy's name through the mud based on something that happened almost 40 years ago.

But Pat Tillman, a football hero killed under suspicious circumstances in a war we're still fighting?

"Bah! That's old news."

Your government is caught lying to you! How are you suppose to feel......."Oh, never mind. It doesn't matter"
The cover-up suggests there is more. No matter what the outcome.......They are the ones who have cast the suspicion on the events.
