Agents of Repression
Edited on Tue Jul-31-07 06:05 AM by formercia
I picked this book up over the weekend at a library book sale. It was the best 25 cents I have ever spent. If you're involved in political or protest activities or belong to a group that might potentially come under surveillance, you NEED to read this book. It may save you a lot of grief.

Agents of Repression

The book can be obtained from the publisher:

also new or used from Amazon or other book sellers.

one point I want to make clear:

Remember, the Police are not the enemy

They're just like you and I, working stiffs that want to go home, have dinner, sit in front of TV with a drink and maybe boink their significant other if they're not too tired.

The last thing they want to do is be at the office until 3 in the Morning doing paperwork because a bunch of jerks decided to act up.

Remember the Revolution in Russia about 18 years ago. The people pleading with the troops not to fire on the demonstrators.
It was the same type of situation where there were some hardliners that didn't want to give up power and sent their troops against the protesters. Without the troops and police to back them up, the boys are nothing. They're just a bunch of rich organized criminals. Let the law take care of them.

11. If anything, get it for the references
Anyone doing research on COINTELPRO will save hundreds of hours. There are a lot of references. This is the most researched book I have seen on the subject.
