"The Kill Point" miniseries on Spike TV
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Kill_Point

I ran across this last week.

Miniseries about a former platoon of Marines who set out to rob a bank but happen to rob one with a FBI agent standing in line. They end up back in the bank and in comes Danny Wahlberg to negotiate with their leader played by John Leguizamo.

Nothing really great about this movie but in a "Dog Day Afternoon" take off Leguizamo's character spells out his demands-a ride out of there, body armor for every soldier in Iraq, and one child of every Senator who voted for the war has to enlist.

His crew is his old platoon. He saved their lives by refusing a direct order to take them into a shooting gallery (their replacement platoon suffered massive casualties). Several subplots including his, Mr.Wolf, having to deal with having killed people.

Interesting you might want to check it out. The first two (of five) episodes have aired but this is Spike so they replay them all hours of the day.

1. I watch a little SPIKE, and saw the previews. I wanted to watch
the show on Sunday (I think), but sometimes with my kids, it isn't possible. Also, I have to be careful about content and language because of my autistic oldest child, and he'll repeat expletives over and over because they are usually delievered with such intensity on a show.

4. I'm watching cause it's filmed in my hometown of Pittsburgh
But it's also a very interesting series so far. Very good casting. BTW you forgot to mention that when (Sarge) Mr. Wolf makes his demands for body armor and for a child of every senator who voted for the war to enlist and go to Iraq the crowd cheered wildly.

And if anyone from around Pittsburgh is watching, the female hostage in the bright green shirt is Chilly Billy Cardille's daughter. Bill Cardille is a Pittsburgh icon for hosting back when we were growing up late Saturday nights Chiller Theater on Channel 11. He also hosted Studio Wrestling which had a live crowd and was really hokey.

5. Oh the super hottie one?
I was going to post this in the original but didn't just too keep it short

This IS SpikeTV so three of the hostages are HOT!!!!

They know who their audience is

I actually thought the casting was pretty bad. The guy playing the Donald Trump type superbillionaire just doesn't look the part and Danny Wahlberg almost made me change the channel. Leguizamo was the only reason I stopped and watched-really talented guy.

6. I like the Donald Trump like actor
Probably cause I remember him as a baddie from several other TV shows. He's kind of weasel-faced IMHO. I like Danny Wahlberg as the negotiator.
