My guess that they'll all give a sigh of relief. "Whew, now we don't have to get out!"

3. I suspect...
they'll make bold pronunciations about "changing the course" while stabbing the country in the back by funding more war.

I'd like to be wrong.

The plan builds on the "surge" strategy set out by President George W. Bush in January when he deployed additional US combat troops to Iraq.

The blueprint was developed by the commander of US troops in Iraq, General David Petraeus, and the US ambassador to Iraq, Ryan Crocker, and has been presented to Defense Secretary Robert Gates, the newspaper said.

9. Of course he going to say its working but,
if you took all the police and put them in the highest crime rated city in the country what do you think would happen in that city? You also have to think about what would happen to the city that now have minimal police.

13. You already know that Petraeus is going to say that progress is being made in Iraq..........
Edited on Tue Jul-31-07 02:12 PM by Double T
even if it is NOT. The military industrial complex's ride will continue beyond bushco's reign as bush and cheney will never admit they were wrong about anything, including the 'surge'. Congress will once again give in to the decider's requested 'war' fund. congress maintains business as usual; NOTHING accomplished.
