Danish troops withdraw from Iraq

The four-year deployment of Danish troops to Iraq ends today. Six Danish soldiers lost their lives in that time. The decision to send Danish soldiers to Iraq was highly controversial, but according to a Gallup survey, 57 percent of the population support further foreign operations. The newspaper also wants the country to continue military operations abroad, but only with a UN mandate. "The starting point must be to continue supporting the United Nations, so that peace operations can be independent of the US and the EU. We need a strong United Nations that can confer legitimacy on solutions to problematic issues. snip

I didn't either but I was too lazy to look up the story. Thanks for doing the work.

7. They only had 460 troops in the "coalition."
This has been an effectively unilateral US operation from the get-go.
