This is a really big event here in the Twin Cities. We cannot believe this happened...
We'll know alot more in the morning.
A terrible day! All my friends and family are ok, but it's a huge hit to our community. Thank you all for your support!
The Red Cross is really leading this effort, their HQ is VERY close to the incident.

Think of the most used stretch of freeway in your city. This bridge connected downtown Minneapolis to the University of Minnesota across the Mississippi.
I drove that bridge twice everyday to and from work - but thanks to the never-ending resurfacing, I took another route (for the 1st time in 23 years!)for the last month!
My older son's automotive school is just across that bridge and he took it twice a day at least - couldn't find him for 2 hours after the collapse due to cell-phone outage. Longest 2 hours of my life! (He's fine. Wasn't near at the time).
So, think of the bridge you have driven over thousands of times in your community.
This was that bridge.

Glad to know you and yours are ok and praying for the other families who don't know yet or have lost someone close to them.
