A very simple way to (almost) never fight a war again
The simplest way to prevent the U.S. from ever getting involved in another war unless it's absolutely necessary to the survival of the country is to do this:

Pass a law that states taxes will be immediately raised to "pay as you go" whenever we send troops overseas into a conflict.

Think of the advantages:


  • No more deficits due to war spending

  • Eliminate the support for war from those who usually are the same people who fight against tax increases



OK, let's do it....start up the constitutional amendment petitions now!!
