A classic Wolf Blitzer moment last night

No youtube or transcript on this but our resident shaved Ewok turned teleprompter reader actually offered a comedic moment last night.

Wolf had an the disembodied voice of a guy who had taken a photograph of the collapsed bridge. You could see the photograph-water in the foreground (the river) and a jangled heap of steel as the focus of the picture...........


and Wolf says.....


"And where were you in relation to the bridge when this was taken?"

1. The guy can't do two things at one time. He is so over his head. --nt

He is one of the dumbest men on TV...others are TJ on CNN, Tony the Idiot on CNN...wait...do I notice a trend here?

2. If only the guy had a photograh that would show where he was in relation to the bridge

5. Remember that stuff whihc went around the Internet

in the early going? One of them was one fo those transcript of court cases which went something like: your son, now is he a male or a female?

Interviewing a woman on the phone: "Let me get this straight. The bridge buckled and then collapsed?"

Yes, bridge fall down go boom, but don't wanna get too technical for ya there, Wolfie.

Only 7 1/2 hours to Julie Chen-if you don't watch the Big Brother show it is much like watching Wolf. She is on live and is clearly reading a cue card-what is said in response to her questions or observations changes nothing she is just going to read the next one and move on.

7. CNN was weird last night...

I was watching Anderson Cooper, and he was interviewing the mother of a child who was on the school bus.

He asked if she'd spoken to any of the other parents. She said yes, a couple, but she couldn't communicate with most of the other parents because they only spoke Spanish. Cooper cut her off pronto, almost hysterical, and changed the subject. I have no idea why that was a big issue, unless he thought the anti-immigrationists would lose sympathy (and therefore ratings for CNN). The mother was very matter-of-fact about it, not critical at all, just answered his question. It was an odd moment.
