How many billions are spent each year in Iraq that could have been used for infrastructure in this
country! Could be spent rebuilding unsafe bridges, roads, old sewer systems...you name it (rebuilding New Orleans) Instead the politicians in this country throw the money away killing and maiming people, and for what? because of the "War on Terrorism" which is being used as a political hot potato the same way that the "Cold War" was for fifty years. The War on Terror is the new paper tiger that the politicians will use to ignore every other problem which faces this country. Shame.

2. THREAT-CON RED: The War On Terrorism has targeted our critical infrastructure
and is destroying it piece by piece, by systematic neglect.

4. New Orleans wouldn't have to be
rebuilt if it wasn't for the war - The Corps has asked for appropriations to help strengthen the levees and they were denied. It's sickening.
