I listen to Ed Schultz occasionally, though he is kinda boring.

Bernie Ward and Ray Talieferro on KGO radio from San Francisco are the best by far in liberal talk radio.

Unfiltered with Jerry Springer. Springer's show was to liberal talk radio what beauty school is to higher education. I was sooooooo happy when they dumped Springer for Sam, but then they broke my heart AGAIN.

6. Thom Hartmann does an exceptionally good show every single day...
Thom alone makes the station a gem. Rachel Maddow's star is still rising. On weekends Ring of Fire, Seder on Sundays, and Clout are definitely worth a listen. I wish they would bring Sam back to a daily show.

77. unfortuately, too may affiliates break away from AAR during Hartmann
and air fat Eddie instead.

Instead of tinkering with an already talented lineup, the Greens should have made priority number one getting the prime time spot back for AAR on these stations.

That was their biggest mistake.

It took a while to get use to Randi but now I enjoy her because she spells it out for any who don't know what is going on. Thom goes indepth and explains through history how we got where we are today on a variety of issues,he also brings on repugs and has it out with them.

89. KTLK AM 1150 (Los Angeles) changed their lineup, so I no longer
get to listen to Randi Rhodes on drive home. (I have to catch her re-runs in very early a.m., if I'm awake then.) They put this really annoying buffoon named "Mr. K" on during the 3-7 p.m. time slot. Ed Schultz whom I find insufferable is on from 7-10. I uaually have to wait until 10 p.m. when Rachel Maddow comes on. I fall asleep to her voice and guests on weeknights.

NO problem. Before AAR, I was a devotee and subscriber to KPFK 90.7 (Pacifica), so I have happily redirected my p.m. drive time to KPFK. A.M. drive time I listen to Stephanie Miller on KTLK.

35. Ed isn't Air America ...

Ed is independently syndicated. Unfortunately, too many stations bump Thom Hartman for Ed Shultz.

I kinda think Ed Shultz is a bit like Archie Bunker. He's a conservative who is coming to terms with himself and becoming liberal as he confronts the facts. It's all too often that Ed will spew some conservo talking point, have his listeners jump on him for it, then he'll change his views a couple weeks later.

Hopefully in a few years, Ed will be a good liberal instead of a DLC apologist.

Thom Hartmann does a good show, but I think it's a little for wonky for Air America, and seems better suited to NPR.

All I have to do is open iTunes, click on "radio", and then click on talk/spoken word. I get a list of 58 talk shows, and one of those is Air America. If you don't have iTunes, you can go to the Apple site and download it.

http://www.apple.com/

Edit to add: You can download the latest iTunes free at the site. They have versions for both Mac and Windows PCs.

59. Sometimes. The Ad Council ads frequently force me to change the station.
After these ads I want to smoke pot, get my kids on pot, almost give, pollute the atmosphere, and put up a big sign at the entrance to my neighborhood screaming "SUSPICIOUS PEOPLE AND INTERNET BULLIES WELCOME!" And I've never smoked pot!

I don't like the Lionel dude in the mornings--he's everything I hate about talk radio, no matter which side he's on (and I can't usually tell). I've taken to listening to my Pimsleur French CDs again on my drive to work. But I like Randi, and I listen to others when I'm in my car. I just don't go out of my way to listen anymore, and my attention span is short.

there's nothing worse than uninformed person who thinks they know it all.
Bring back Sammy!

63. Yes, because I love Thom Hartmann, Randi Rhodes and
Rachal Maddow. Also my local affiliate carries Mike Malloy as well. On the weekends we get Ring of Fire, which I don't miss and Sam Seder too, all worthwhile. The only bad programming is two hours a day wasted on some local schmuck who knows nothing about anything but claims to be a liberal. He spends his two hours talking to his friends on the air. I wish they would just go to a coffee shop. It's okay though. I use that time to go shopping and run errands. They used to carry Ed Schultz but dumped him in favor of Rachel Maddow. Thank God. I really didn't care for him. Also, if I get up early enough they carry Stephanie Miller in the morning.

69. I absolutely do!
I wish Rachel Maddow was still on in the morning. She's terrific! I also love Thom Hartman. What a smart, sensible man. Unfortunately here...sometimes the station that carries AAR pre-empts Thom for some dumb show about mortgages. It's a paid block of time that the station sells..and it sucks!

70. I'm listening to Tom Hartman. Even Lionel is growing on me. His voice
is sometimes irritating, but he seems to be a good man. Randi Rhodes is terrific and the rest of the line up has something to offer.

74. Nope, not for 2 years.
Sorry...the same talk show hosts screaming every day about the same thing when there were many other issues to cover got on my nerves. Also, I had enough negativity in my life at that point without having to hear it from the radio.

76. not as much as I used to- except weekends
I love Ring of Fire and I've followed Seder into his Sunday exile.

But I have no use for them on weekedays. Turks are on too early. Lionel fucking sucks. My station airs Ed Schultz's boring ass instead of Hartmann (who I love) and, though I respect her immensely, Randi's just not my cup of tea.
I do like maddow, but I'm usually busy when she's on.

82. I'd rather listen to NPR or BBC
I don't need constant repetition of my own ideology. I'd rather hear a somewhat neutral presentation of the news, and then I'll decide what I think. Although I love "Democracy Now" as well.

86. I would if they came back to Atlanta.
I'm boycotting them until that happens. If they really care, they would be in a market that can handle 5-6 right-wing stations. Contrary to what many believe, the city of Atlanta is very liberal.
