Poll question: Deep Crystal Ball Time: 2008 Presidential Election Landslide Prediction
We are going to win in 2008, no good reason to entertain any argument to the contrary.

I think its going to be a 'landslide', but who knows?

How much of a margin do you think the Democratic Candidate for the Presidency will win by?

4. It will be
a squeaker. Repubs will cheat. Actually it will be a very comfortable margin.

5. We're going to lose in a landslide.
Because polls like this are going to jinx us.

To undo the jinx, you have to drink from somebody elses soda without their permission while spinning in an Aeron chair.

9. I'm not seeing any of the current GOP field carrying anything close to
a competitive electoral college challenge to Democratic strength for 2008.

Romney, if he's their nominee, isn't going to carry Massachusetts or Michigan.

Giuliani will not carry New York State. He will be competitive in New Jersey and Florida but I believe will be overtaken in both. We hold New Jersey in that one and we pick up Florida.

Ohio is a blue state right now and it's getting bluer by the minute. In 2008 the Republicans will lose Ohio by a very wide margin. We pick it up. More than likely that's more than enough to win.

If they nominate Thompson, he could be competitive in West Virginia; but we still win it by a narrow percentage. Thompson keeps Tennessee red, but not by large numbers.

We also win Colorado whether or not Tancredo is on their ticket. He won't be.

We also carry Arkansas, though by only a narrow margin if Huckabee if their veep nom.

We also carry the states Kerry-Edwards carried in 04, and add Iowa and New Mexico back to our column.

If the Republicans put Tommy Thompson on their ticket as veep, it still won't help them win Wisconsin. It may narrow the gap some, but I think Wisconsin stays blue.

Also I believe North Carolina and Virginia are in play.

There's a potential for a landslide victory for the blue team in 08, and that's how I voted in your poll.
