What do you mean we don't spend enough money on infrastructure?

Our former Republican governor ordered a huge contract to do a massive rebuild of a major freeway interchange. This project must be really important, because the contract is for millions of dollars. And it must be really complicated because it's been going on for 6 years, and they haven't even made a dent! Hang in there, my orange-vested buddies - only 3 years to go. I know that seems slow, but hey, it's a cloverleaf. Kellogg's doesn't even make marshmallows in that shape anymore. And this contributor - er - I mean Contractor - has lots of other bids to complete, too. This is bigger than the Big Dig, i tell ya! I was raving about the project to my neighbor, and he told me he had a bridge in Alaska he'd like to sell me.
