Poll question: Do you fear your government? |
|
I'm not talking abut the angst we feel on April 15th. Or the tightening of the butt cheeks that occurs when one passes a parked state trooper while doing twenty over.
I'm talking about serious fear that anything you do that is the least out of line or critical could land you in a spot you would never wish to be. Or that your house could be seized. Or that with one mistake your entire life could be redirected or even ruined. A fear that once you stand accused you would be as good as convicted and sentenced.
Do you fear your government?

The destruction of due process means that mistakes cannot be corrected.
If mistakes can't be corrected, being targeted for being an undesirable can be a life sentence.
The system isn't supposed to work that way.
If the people making these policy decisions were to sit back and think about what they've done, and therefore what kind of power they're handing off soon, they would fix this.
That is, unless they have no reason to fear these new powers being used against them.
