How many here get exhausted, and I mean EXHAUSTED, by hearing of anything in the news and knowing it will be assigned some sinister origin?

Shit has happened since the beginning of time. Since before the continents broke apart, before nations existed, before the United States was even a glimmer in anyone's eye, and before the ancestors of Bush, Cheney, or Rove even knew how to tie their shoes.

(I am a female, and I did not shy away from the use of "hysteria" in my title, because I mean hysteria.)

Its like what will they come up with next?

DU tinfoilers and the doom contingent has been around for years.
Some of the predictions that still haven't come true, but that I have seen wanna-be DU nostradamuses predicting for years: United States will invade Iran (this one even had several "definite" dates given for it, all of which passed with nothing happening)
American economy is going into a depression (this is always popular, and will continue to be predicted at least monthly)
Bush will not give up the presidency in 2008 (the newest one)
