Minister in skirt charged with indecent exposure, DUI, solicitation: man, when these guys let loose!
Edited on Fri Aug-03-07 02:08 AM by Bluebear

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) - The minister of a Baptist church has been charged with indecent exposure and driving under the influence, and police officers say he propositioned them.

Tommy Tester, 58, of Bristol, Va., was wearing a skirt when he was arrested last week after allegedly urinating in front of children at a car wash, police said.

Police also said Tester offered to perform oral sex on officers who were sent to the scene.

Authorities identified Tester as the minister of Gospel Baptist Church in Bristol and an employee of Christian radio station WZAP-AM in Bristol...

....An open bottle of vodka and empty oxycodone prescription bottle was found in his car when Tester was arrested Friday.

12. I think it's Bristol, Tenn.
I used to fly down there occasionally, in a Tri-Pacer, to tri-cities. Bristol, Johnson City, and I don't remember the third town-it's been almost forty years ago.

Bristol, Tennessee is where the big race track is.

14. We're both right--Bristol is right on the line between VA and TN, and
there is a Bristol VA and a Bristol TN which form essentially one town in two different states. And it doesn't surprise me that this preacher is from that area!

26. Don't forget Coy Privette in Concord, North Carolina
Visited a prostitute at least six times, paid with checks, and stopped the checks! She reported to the SBI and they investigated.

Coy Privette was a county commissioner, extreme right-winger, president of all kinds of fundy right-wing extremist groups...

I suspect fowl play. Tommy has been a personal friend of our family for as long as I can remember. I've never heard a more powerful man speak about God as he. He will not even go to places where people are wearing short because he finds it offensive. I fully believe he was either drugged or set up. Tommy, if you read this, we love you and our hearts are pooring prayers for you.

17. Wow! Are they ALL Secret Perverts?
I think, at the very least (as with Republic Party Child Molestors, so reat are their numbers, also) that we should consider this a normal symptom of Right-Wing Authoritarianism (RWAs) (and the Social Dominators (SDs) who lead them by the ignorant weak-minded nose) and probably has something to do with the core philosophy of "getting away with what can be gotten away with" as well as the seeming SD and RWA penchant for bullying the weak and powerless.

Actually, most of it is the SDs, research shows the RWAs following migh be perfectly nice people, except that their "followers mentality" has been coopted by the SDO in order to achieve their goals, which ususally have little to do with the "goals" they told the RWAs they were trying to achieve.

Bottom line, yes indeed, I am beginning to think that a substantial number of self-rigtheous fundamentalists (who are terribly prone to being SDs and RWAs) arer in fact hiding terrible corruption, be it sexual or monetray or etc.

I am also beginning to think that it's core philosophy of beat the shit out of the weak and powerless while toadying to the strong, also lies at the heart of why not just Republics, BUT THOSE WHO ARE HEAVILY AFFILIATED with the party, are molesting children at such an alarming rate.
