Is Scott Jennings our new John Dean?
Edited on Fri Aug-03-07 06:22 AM by Syrinx
I just watched the replay of Jennings' testimony on C-SPAN.

Why would he have showed up at all, unless he wanted to help the truth get out?

He asserted privilege numerous times.

But at least HE SHOWED UP. Against the wishes of the White House.

That must have been for a reason.

He was clearly scared for his personal liability. But he still showed up and testified.

Keith Olbermann, I think, didn't tell the whole story, Thursday night. Not because he didn't want to. Just because he had not digested the whole thing yet.

It seems to me that Scott Jennings could be the key to unraveling the whole, sordid mess.

And that could potentially save America.

2. I'm looking forward to it.
I would offer to help write it. If I had the ability to write. ;)

3. Jennings knew the Sergeant of Arms went looking for
General Kensinger the day before. He is no John Dean. Dean actually knew the law - Jennings is an arrogant Young Republican hack who never attempted to answer questions.

8. Jennings graduated in 1996

from HIGH SCHOOL!

Seems clear to me that KKK Rove and the Republican political movement has planned to keep America under their thumb for many many more years to come.

And unless the doings and goings on of the youthful Republic ideologes and present proteges currently wielding power now behind the scenes isn't seriously combated, curtailed and diminshed by progressives, liberals and independents of all ages, what shape do you think the U.S.A. will be in by 2020? Worse than today after being taught every dirty trick known by the masters of same?

just askin'

10. Indeed Rove has produced some

seriously evil young men and women who are not very intelligent. Further most have been trained at suspect ideologically driven institutions. The good news is that most of them are greedy little cowards.

Edit: change subject

11. Can you imagine

if Marley was still here with us and what he would be saying in song about what is and what should be? No doubt he would still make a difference internationally and would possibly have to withstand another politically motivated assassination.

4. His Lawyer Told Him To Go...
Just like Goodling's and Taylor's...all were assistants...not confirmed appointees and still have hopes of a "career". Their lawyers realize their claims of Executive privilidge are dubious at best and by showing they split the baby...avoiding the ire of Congress for not showing, but still remaining "loyal". Surely the regime has coached all of these people and the quid pro quo is that they play the "good soldier" and they'll be "rewarded" (not sure which parcel in Paraguay Jennings has picked out).

5. That's absurd - the asswipe did everything possible to obscure and deny
Edited on Fri Aug-03-07 06:34 AM by ThomWV
He was only there because he feared jail if he didn't show up. He knows he is a pissant and he won't be protected like Karl or Harriet would be, that is the only reason he showed up. The asswipe didn't give a single bit of useful information and did all in his power not to answer any questions.

John Dean indeed.

6. Turd Blossom
is as much lame duck as the rest of the Dark House's current denizens. He's a lardbutt who holds on to whatever power he can, because he knows that this presidency is going to be regarded as the least effective regime this country has ever seen, and once W's out of office, Rove and the other lieutenant ass clowns are going to face YEARS of inquiry, at the least.

Just a little optimism to start your day! Happy friday, DU!

7. He showed up because he didn't want to face contempt charges
So instead, he showed up and showed contempt to their faces. And Leahy called him on it.

9. I watched it
and Jennings is an arrogant sniveling little Karl Rove want to be who is scared crapless of a contempt charge....and I also think he most likely LIED about his little breakfast meeting when he said no "business" discussion occurred - maybe he agreed to write the memo on the way to breakfast so technically maybe he didn't lie....WHATEVER - Jennings is an ass
