Poll question: Are American Citizens threatened by terrorists while in America?
Hard to figure out how to phrase this one. Is there a real terrorist threat that our government needs to be dealing with or is it all smoke and mirrors?

Let's take it as read that wanting to take care of a terrorist threat doesn't mean taking care of it in a numbskulled Bush -style method.

2. How about
"There may be terrorists here, but I'm more worried about the idiot in the SUV texting as he drives."

3. Funny you mention that
My stepdaughter got rear-ended by one of those three weeks ago.

On point, I voted for #1, but we need to deal better with it than we have.

4. Wasn't 9/11 and Oklahoma city in the US?
The odds may be against it but if you are on the wrong side of the odds thats small comfort.

5. Beyond overblown.
I picked non-existent, although that's overstating slightly. We've got the mightiest country in the world quaking in its boots over a few thousand cave-dwellers whose most sophisticated attack involved box-cutters. The reality is that you're more likely to die in an avalanche than a terrorist attack. Yet we're spending insanely disproportionate amounts of cash lives, and attention on what amounts to a negligible threat, and we're managing to increase the threat while doing so. If we spent this kind of time and money on curing cancer, we'd be done by now and a lot more lives would be saved.

8. The terrorist threat is no greater today than it was 50 years ago.
That is to say, it is nothing to be really concerned about. Yes there are many who hate us, often with good reason and most of them from right here, but the various LEOs have always been more than capable of handling it. Had to vote ambiguous.

10. There is somewhat of a terrorist threat, but not big enough to
make it the central concern of the government.

It is way overblown.

11. Crumbling Infrastructure, No Decent Affordable Medical Care.
Yeah, I'd say terrorism is real here in the USA.

Especially if you are poor and powerless.
