Q: Lionel Show's ratings better/worse than Sam Seder's on AAR?

I tried, but can't stand Lionel's show. I'll turn AAR back on for Thom Hartmann and Randi, but that's it. What were they thinking when they dumped Sam Seder for THAT? Ratings, I know. So, has it payed off?

Does anyone know? I miss Sam.

I used to listen to Sam on my Walkman when i took my daughter to school (now camp)... what a bummer to have that bufoon on the air in place of Sam!

i just can not stand this guy..his voice..and his content ..are just terrible!

7. I hate Lionel

He's frequently rude and denigrating to even his FRIENDLY callers, which is inexcusable.

He thinks the show is about showing-off how smart he is compared to everyone else-- even those who agree with him.

And no, I haven't personally had a bad call-in experience with him myself.

and on days when I don't go, I stream Stephanie Miller.

but in the truck, I now listen to either XMPR or the comedy stations when he's on.

For many progressives in the morning, Stephanie Miller is the show. Don't know who the right winger radio host is in the morning.

I'm a big Stephanie Miller fan and I also love Sam Seder. I can't listen to either live so I download the podcasts to both shows.

I refused to listen to Lionel from day one after reading what I had heard about him and as a personal boycott of AAR in support of Seder. Lionel also looks like Dennis Miller and I hate Dennis Miller.

I wrote AAR after finding out that Seder was being replaced by Lionel and told them that I would never listen to Lionel and they made it easier for me to listen to Stephanie Miller.

"Meanwhile, AAR’s other new weekday show – hosted by Lionel from 9am-noon is also not doing well. While the veteran broadcaster was carried by dozens of stations when he was offered as a late night talker by WOR Syndication, his morning AAR show has only been picked up by 15 stations."

And most of those stations don't have him live, it's either tape-delayed, or weekends-only.
