O' Hanlon and Pollock Not War Critics
How does it happen that two guy guys who were some of the biggest supporters of the Iraq War can become war critics. The media is now and has been pushing the idea that Michael O'Hanlon and Ken Pollock are war critics who have come around to realize that the Iraq war might be getting better. In reality both O'Hanlon and Pollock have supported the war from its start. A few days ago Keith Olbermann pointed out that a year ago O' Hanlon wrote a article supporting the war. Today the show Counterspin pointed out that both O' Hanlon and Ken Pollock write article supporting and pushing the Iraq war. So, once again how does this happen? In addition, is the media situation that bad that misinformation like this can be spread without liberal voices pointing this out. Lastly, I am very happy that the people have Keith Olbermann and Counterspin.

3. The right's talking point at least for Pollack
was that since he was a former Clinton official then he was by default against the war. History and other writings from these 2 would reguire the right to do a little research which is against their philosphy.

4. And who seem to be the biggest fans of this op-ed?
Rep. Adam Putnam (R-Fla.), a top House GOP leader, said much more significant was an op-ed in Monday's New York Times by two Brookings Institution scholars, Michael E. O'Hanlon and Kenneth M. Pollack. The two Iraq experts contended that the surge is starting to work.

The White House blasted the op-ed to its allies within minutes of its publication -- and the National Review directed its readers to the piece shortly after.

5. Well since timing is everything
makes one wonder if this piece wasn't sponsored by someone.

As usual, when the mis-administration needs a puff piece they can attribute to someone other than "Right wing" commentators, they just have a unique knack for getting it.

6. Notice here that it came out right in time for Cheney to reference it in an interview
Just like all the Judith Miller pieces in this "hostile source" :eyes:

and just remember that the Petraus Report will show "remarkable progress" as a result of the surge.

It won't matter shit what is actually happening over there.
