Poll question: Is the Jefferson Appelate decision a good thing? |
|
Edited on Fri Aug-03-07 01:29 PM by Perky
The simple read out is that despite a warrant, the contents of the office of a member of Congress are considered privileged. That the FBI raid was encraorachment on an important sepration of powers issue.
Ok but what's to prevent a congressman from hiding ill-gotten gain in a freezer in his office? What about emails contain evidence of bribery or prostitution.
On the other hand what if the prosecution is a politically motivated vendetta by an evil vice-president?

on the federal government. Even when I'm not sure I agree in that specific case. It at least shows that someone is being told no.

but then they raided his Congressional office and thw question then becomes if the money was inhis office should the FNIO be able to go in there and get it? Given that the FBI works for the AG who works gro the President?

Beat me to it.
Surrealistic Pillow is a great album, but some of that can be attributed to Jerry.
