11. Presser to talk about the Bills for Children/Education/Ethics Reform the House has passed

with both Reid and Pelosi. They were talking about the accomplishments of the New Dem House and Senate so far and explaining they would work through tomorrow with the goal of getting the rest of their legislation passed. Although...I got the impression that FISA revisions might not be voted on in the Senate until after the break...even if the House passes it tonight or tomorrow.

There was a Q&A with reporters trying to attack Dem Legislation but Pelosi and Reid handled it very well .

Wow! Nancy and Harry were amazing! I'm not kidding. They were the feistiest I've ever seen them.

They asked him what he thought about the president telling Congress to stay until they pass FISA stuff. Old Harry stops. Gives the reporter a look.

:rofl: That was a great comeback for Reid! I think he was trying to get across that they wouldn't be stampeded by the FISA stuff that Bush/Cheney want in there. And, did you catch that read was asked about McConnel saying he now wanted more in FISA to fight terrorists and Reid said he had met with McConnel and he was going to stick to what he and McConnell had agreed on and not what the WH/Cheney wanted in there.

15. Too Little, Too Much...

I'm in the minority here that believes both Leader Reid and Speaker Pelosi have made the most with the shit sandwiches they've had to make into a gourmet meal. But, as we could see with the obstructionist and now WATB Repugnicans, how effective both leaders have been. They wouldn't be putting up such tactics and shit if either leader were ineffective and love it when these leaders get hit on their own flank...takes the corporate media spotlight off their own corruption and hypocricies.

Alas, no matter what either people do...short of personally putting the noose around the next of the biggest criminals in this regime, will people here be moderately satisfied. They expect both leaders to be magicians rather than leaders and when their agenda isn't served as quickly as another person's, then obviously these leaders are weak or have caved in or "just don't get it".

To hell with explaining all the good bills that have come out of the House this session...we've got tunnelvision in progress. While some may not see raising the minimum wage, tuition grants for college, health care for children, a revision on the medicare drug plan for seniors and many other bills that sit in McConnell hell msy mean little to some here, this is what these representatives were voted in for.
