How much do you think the war in Iraq is costing the United States every second?

The bill apparently comes to $10 billion a month, which works out at roughly $329 million a day, $14 million an hour, $228,000 a minute and $3,800 a second. That's according to the U.S. Congressional Research Service.

And how much has the United States contributed to the U.N. refugee agency's work with Iraqis who have fled the violence?

The answer is $17 million in contributions and $19 million in pledges.

The total - $36 million - wouldn't even keep the war going for three hours.
