1. That's a good question. They SHOULD still be looking for him, right?
And he should be brought before the committee as soon as they get ahold of him...

15. Wait or most likely drop the matter, it will be OBE by then
The Gen has none nothing illegal at this point and the matter will be off the front burner by then

16. Depends on the terms of the subpeona
Its not like its from a court with a sitting judge.

If he does not get served in time, it would have to be reissued with another time and date, and then get served.

3. wow...all over the web...
well...the sites I go to..same one paragraph

"General Kensinger refused to appear today," Chairman Waxman said in his opening statement. "His attorney informed the committee that General Kensinger would not testify voluntarily, and if issued a subpoena would seek to evade service. The committee did issue a subpoena to General Kensinger earlier this week, but US Marshals have been unable to locate or serve him.

nothing I've seen in any print or other media yet.

6. Maybe they will locate him in a few weeks and force
him to show up for the Waxman Hearing when it resumes. He cannot be that damn difficult to locate!

7. I read over lunch that he was away on business
It seems odd that they know he's away on business but yet the US Marshals can't find him.

13. not legal
He has done nothing wrong until he refuses to honor the subpeona. Even then, his retirement pay can not be with held without a court judgement.

Also testifying before congress is not like testifying in court. You may want to read up on it

9. He's probably afraid the merc militia will kill him too.
Somebody, somewhere knows what happened
and I'd put money on the fact that it was a hit
by the Blackwater types, by order of the KKKabal.

11. I am placing it back on the Radar.
This is important for a number of reasons. The main one being that Congress needs to have the power to force a person to comply with a Subpoena.

17. So much is gooing on that it is difficult to keep up these days.
Waxman is the best the Dems have from CA. Boxer aint too bad either, though. Pelosi is a wuss. Feinstein is a DINO. I'm in the SF Bay Area btw. Cindy Sheehan should have challenged Feinstein instead of Pelosi.

19. Kensinger
Maybe he did a Lt Col Markinson......????

KAFFEE
And at present, Captain Markinson is dead,
is that right?

ROSS
Objection. I'd like to know just what
defense counsel is implying?

KAFFEE
I'm implying simply that, at present,
Captain Markinson is not alive.

ROSS
Surely Colonel Jessep doesn't need to
appear in this courtroom to confirm that
information.

KAFFEE
I just wasn't sure if the witness was
aware that two days ago, Captain Markinson
took his own life with a .45 caliber
pistol.

20. I am going to place this on my calandar so that in a few weeks
from now it won't vanish from my memory. Things like this tend to get lost. Example: What ever happened to the two captured US Soldiers?

22. Excerpts From Statement By Kensinger's Attorney: July 31, 2007
http://cbs5.com/reference/local_story_213003307.html

Regarding Wednesday's congressional hearing:
"My client is traveling on business. He declined the committee invitation to testify two weeks ago, so it was no surprise to the committee that he had no intent to participate in a hearing that is all about show and no substance."
