Have you ever given any thought what community life is like if Republicans have their way? |

Do you think that family-owned franchises can support middle class jobs? Republicans think they can, but try working for one. Something tricky happens as you get nearer to the top management positions, basically, nothing. Nepotism isn't illegal in a privately owned business and they can hire family members over you until the cows come home and you won't have a leg to stand on. So all the manager spots will probably belong to family members. And forget about buying one off the family, if it's in expansion mode.
Do you like drinking every weekend with your good buddies and get corralled often into offering free services to them or their parents? Does your social life revolve around a particularly strong Bush supporter who takes advantage of your youth and inexperience? Enough to embarrass you in front of the group because his father is pissed off at you because you didn't go to fix his heater...for free?
Do you look for prospects for your business through your community service position? And if you lose your customer's investment in your private business, do you make it up to him by using the resources at your disposal from your community service position? And if others catch on, do you form cabals to bully those who challenge you?
If you're a coach of a team, do you expect payment under the table to give a kid more game time?
All these are real experiences in a Republican County and you better get adept at playing their game because, as American Corporations fail to give us independence, we'll all be resorting to a barter community.

homeowner's association knows that. Typically, it makes you suspicious of your neighbors because you never know who's going to complain that your grass has grown an extra day or they don't like the way your drapes are arranged; you're in constant fear that the association is going to target you for one thing or another; you're in constant fear of having your monthly fees raised beyond what you can pay; and you know damned full well that if anything fails, the HOA is going to stiff you on repairs.
A longitudinal study published last year determined that children who were whiny, clingy, timid tattletales were most likely to grow up to be conservatives. Having those unpleasant children in charge would be what it would be like.

Imagine if the powers that be outside the HOA, understand the corruptibility factor of a HOA. You think your neighbors are just the problem? Try to find legal representation when they have outside help and support, where they shouldn't have any.

4. Hey, don't give my neighbors any ideas. |

They've probably already thought it several times over. Me? I'm happy if a little sunshine cleans up this mess.
