As Cramer said, it's easy to shake up some action on Wall St with lots of leveraged unregulated hedge fund money. All you need to do is create enough action where technical points of price and volume are crossed and that brings in more action which accentuates your planned result.
The momentum on individual stocks can be controlled in the short term by a relatively few number of fund managers. Momentum feeds momentum and the smart money and money changers of the Wall St learned a long time ago how to make money off of the not so smart other people's money.

Cramer claimed to be a Democrat when Clinton was in power. He became a Republican when Bush became President. Greed is the dominant force on Wall St.. They have no concept of shared prosperity for this country as they skim off and cannibalize our economy.
