I am O V E R America.
Why have we become so corrupt?

Where is the best place to live in the world without having to put up with bullshit like we have to here?

1. Anywhere else, you wouldn't be paying attention to the bullshit. But
since you are here, now, you hopefully will try to make it better.

5. I really don't
I don't see how we can make a difference when our leaders won't listen to us, won't work for us and don't care what the opposite party does as long as their hands are getting washed in the bargain.

They exchange favors. The play games. They're little boys and girls trying to run the world the way they want to and to benefit themselves instead of running it the way the people want it ran to benefit the people of America.

6. Good question. Tonight did not impress me. Is this the Dems' payback
for the earlier energy bills being pushed through?

2. Because we never had real checks and balances to begin with.
What we thought were checks and balances was that we never really had an administration as evil as this one, so we thought it was some magical set of checks and balances that protected us.

9. You are sure right, Sarah. Especially in the Dept of Justice
and the Supreme Court. The Judicial Branch of government is nothing but a tool for BushCo. They were a tool for BushCo before he even seized power.

10. We have no safeguards. It was a myth all along. We were exposed to Nazis like this administration
We just never noticed till now. It caught us off guard. The only checks and balances we have is those of us who are willing to fight dictatorship.

3. You need to find a Nation with a REAL DEMOCRACY.............
Edited on Sat Aug-04-07 09:32 PM by Double T
instead of a bogus one. Checkout Europe or Scandinavia. It is ALSO nice to see that we have elevated ourselves from the 109th 'Do Nothing Congress' to the 110th 'Do Less Than Nothing Congress'; NOW that's REAL PROGRESS?!?!

Here's a little EYE OPENER for you: http://www.worldaudit.org/democracy.htm

8. I hate to sound crazy but.....
looking back I think that this is what Kennedy tried to stop and why he was killed.....the military industrial complex has officially taken over.It has been going that way for a long time and the end is here. And our news media has been gone for almost 7 years now or this shit would have never happened.

12. And there will be nowhere to run
As falls democracy in the U.S., so it will fall in the world. If the current thugs are allowed to bring their plans for total hegemony to fruition where do you honestly think will be free from their evil?

11. I don't know, but I'd like to the see the list you come up with. Might move too.
America no longer holds to the ideals that I believed made our country great. Plus, I seriously think we are on the cusp of a dictatorship (if not there already) and would like to get my family out of this country before the shit hits the fan.
