Come Primary Day: Open Season On Blue Dogs No Bag Limit
Well after this disgrace of a vote on the FISA BILL we know who the traitors in our ranks are.

VOTE THEM OUT WHEN THE TIME COMES!

3. This has been in the plan all along...Emanuel is responsible for putting
in these so called moderates and that is just what they wanted..its the whole DLC thing...that is why they have a hard on for Dean...Dean went after progressive (I prefer Liberals) candidates and the Emanuel group wanted these Lieberman Dems...I believe they want this war as much as the repugs...

10. Never mind that, stop making sense--it's a witch hunt they're after, doncha see!!
When the war is over, Jack Murtha will go back to being Conservative Democratic Enemy Number One. The guy who should be strangled with a coathanger. He's only in good graces right now for that one stance, alone.

See, the centrists and moderates are reviled by a cadre here--they lack that "ideological purity" and in some cases, they dare to reflect the will of their constituencies.

I prefer to embrace them rather than revile them, and try to change their hearts when need be. Because even the worst Blue Dog is better than a Republican.

17. Well, if you have to ask, why do you spend time here?
Or waste your time, really? This forum is a haven for people who CAN tell the difference. Hence, the name.

If you genuinely think there's no difference between the parties, I can't help you. And really, there's no point in my trying. You'll get my sympathy, even if you don't seek it, but I won't waste my time on you.

2008 is too important; and if you are going to take the attitude of an angst-ridden Nadaresque fence-sitter, well, that's your choice, freely made.

19. You're funny. If you think I'm not paying attention while they hand-feed
Edited on Sun Aug-05-07 11:14 AM by acmavm
this administration every damn thing that it wants, you are sadly mistaken. And if you think that I'm stupid enough to applaud their assistance in making my future and the future of my children and grandchildren hell, you are really more than sadyly mistaken, you are the one to be pitied.

March lock-step with those that are selling us out. Apparently you are under some delusion that it will do the country some good. In which case I have to tell YOU that I have no time or understanding to waste on someone who is determined to stick their fingers in their ears and ignore the reality of the situation.

13. You get rid of them, you end up with Republicans
Like them or not, they are tens times better than Republicans. They may not vote for how we want them all the time, but in order to control Congress, they are needed. The Republicans got rid of all their moderates and they lost control of Congress.

18. oh yes
roll-over democrats are 10 times better than rubber-stamp republics

just look at all the progress they've made. blank-checks to bush with an expiration date. promises to hold bush/cheney accountable in 6 months, err, 9 months....well maybe someday

and all the changes....new name plate on the door sure looks nifty, shiney gavel oooooooooo pretty, much better posters and placards too

yep, and the sputtering is much better when bush flips 'em the bird.

ya know that show on TV - Flip this house? We need to flip the senate too.
FLIP

15. Well, we can't get rid of all of them. The Southern Dems are probably going to be as good as it gets
For now, at least.

A (very) conservative Dem like Harold Ford, Jr lost his bid for a Senate seat to a reactionary Rethug. So when we are able to win seats in areas like TN, I'll hold my nose and take the "D." However, we definitely need to replace the blue dogs in very progressive states like California, New York, and Illinois. We should be able to elect more progressive candidates in those districts.

Democrats will feel the wrath of a duped populace.

Contrary to Ms. Pelosi's understanding, Democrats didn't win last time over health-care, the environment (and THAT topic has frittered away), or anything else, other than ENDING THE OCCUPATION.
