I retract my angry comments about the Senate taking a month long recess. |
|
I support their recess. In fact, we might be better off if they just stayed in their districts for the next 18 months.

5. Get them out of town, before they do any more damage. |

The only thing to worry about at this point is the asshat-in-chief making any recess appointments.

7. This is a prime GOP talking point. |
|
I’m sure the GOP would gladly opt to recess both chambers for the remainder of this regime now that there are actual oversight hearings going on. And during that time the “executive/decider/dictator” would declare himself something unintelligible that essentially says he’s here for the remainder of his life. Upon his death, the twins will have to fight it out with the Cheneys about who will be the rightful heirs to the monarchy.
You have every right to be enraged by 41 House Democratic members and 16 Democratic Senators (as well as a few no show/no vote Democrats) that just bumped this megalomaniac up a few more notches. I am pissed as hell, but I am pissed at the 41+16+NV (Senator Boxer was one) that sold out our Constitution for this evil and corrupt blight on our country.
Keep in mind, that the GOP’s main objective is to obstruct the will of the people and to put the blame on their only opposing party.
I believe that impeachment of the main players of this monarchy is the only solution, but even I have to admit that it won’t happen. We are lost.
Our only solution is to replace these cowards with progressive and Constitutional thinkers in 2008 if that even remains an option going forward. I have to wonder what will the Congress return to after their recess.

It's an expression of extreme disgust in their complicence and outright offensive behavior of late. Perhaps they should shut down all lawmaking and just concentrate on impeachment because of late, they suck at the lawmaking.

in session or not - bush flips them the bird, dems whine and republics sip down more kool-aid
