Email to my Senator - re: FISA

You may not like parts of my message, but after knowing the reason for his support of Abu Gonzales, I went there in this message to him tonight:

Dear Mr. Salazar,
I voted for you, against Mike Miles, during your campaign last fall. I guessed you'd be on the side of us who'd voted for you with regards to the FISA vote tonight.

However, you chose to kowtow to the Republics and allow this corrupt administration to further strip away the rights we have under the Constitution. How on earth can you claim to be a Democrat, having voted to allow this bill to advance - giving in to an administration that is so corrupt? Oh, that's right, you support Alberto Gonzales simply because you and he share a like heritage as Hispanics; what a sorry excuse you have for supporting someone who is so corrupt.

I suggest you go the way of Ben Nighthorse Republican and change your party affiliation now -you do nothing nor do you speak for those of us who voted you in to office, in good conscience, as a Democratic leader. You're as red as the Colorado clay and should honestly represent yourself as such - a true red Republican. I am sorry I didn't see through your facade in wanting to represent your true constituants.

I will do whatever I can, in my power, to see you not elected again as a Democrat representing Colorado. I vote, I have friends who vote and will mobilize to defeat your plans to ever, ever represent me or us, as Coloradoans, again.

You should be ashamed for your vote tonight, but somehow, I believe you don't have the conscience to feel any shame at all.

Enjoy living with your poor voting record - may it come back to remove you from office.

I gave up emailing my reps and getting their pre typed responses , screw it and screw them .
