Real people, real money.

www.slate.com runs a periodic update on the various gambling sites' odds for the 2008 U.S. presidency.

As of this weekend:

Senator Clinton is favored first, then Senator Obama, Senator Edwards, Vice President Gore, Governor Richardson, Senator Biden, General Clark, Governor Schweitzer, and Senator Dodd. Senator Gravel and Congressman Kucinich are not included in the listings, although folks who've already dropped out -- Vilsack, Warner, Bayh, etc. -- are included. Newspaper delivery must be spotty in some areas...

For the Pukes, Giuliani is favored first, then Fred Thompson, then Multiple-Choice Mitt, then McCain, Newt gingrich, Condoleezza Rice, Mike Huckabee, Jeb Bush, Michael Bloomberg, Sam Brownback, Tom Tancredo, and Duncan Hunter. There are some wildcard longshots included as well -- Tom Ridge and Tommy Franks, for example. Bloomberg is a former Democrat who ran as a Republican to have a shot at becoming NYC's mayor and may run as an independent in 08; but he's listed here as a Republican nominee contender.

This is the lowest McCain has registered, I believe. And the highest Gov. Richardson and Joe Biden have registered.
