Would like to hear from the Blue Dogs on DU.
Edited on Sun Aug-05-07 07:53 AM by The Backlash Cometh
I would just like to hear from the Blue Dogs on DU to ask if the Blue Dogs in Congress properly represented your political views with that vote this weekend. How do you feel about it and does it remain consistent with your expectations?

19. No. Thats just a myth used to justify these assholes.
*DiFi is from one of the Bluest of states.

*Before he was kicked out of the Democratic Party, Joe Lieberman, former chair of the DLC was from a blue state.

*Hillary Clinton, a conservative NeoLiberal, darling of ultra rich CEOs and War Profiteers, family friend of the Bush family, Chairwoman of the DLC "American Dream Initiative" is from one of the bluest states.

A properly funded Democratic Populist, running on economic issues can win in any state.

The Democratic Party is a BIG TENT, but there is NO ROOM for those
who advance the agenda of THE RICH (Corporate Owners) at the EXPENSE of LABOR and the POOR.

14. Oh, you bad.
Again, what's the difference between a blue dog and a yellow dog? You see, I think my brother, who is brilliant in every way financially, is a blue dog. He only reads the Wall Street Journal and he has incredible investment acumen, but he has never voted for a Republican in any presidential election. He believes in social causes and that government should be benign which is why he aligns himself with the Democrats, but he doesn't waste too much time in anything that won't make him money. I'll eventually ask him this question when I see him, but by then, a whole list of new issues will probably crop up, and I'll forget.

20. I'm already reaching conclusions from the fact that they don't respond.
First, that they're ashamed of the decision. And, secondly, that maybe the reason that blue dogs vote Democratically, but are Republican-minded in their daily lives, is because they want every possible benefit to make money, but have a conscience, so they vote for someone who calls themselves a Democrat to ease their conscience?
