The Propaganda Surge is ON

One month before Petreaus tells us that the surge 'is just beginning to work', the propaganda is hot and heavy. The Sunday talk shows this weekend are full of repubs and one or two dems. There is little if any news coming out of Iraq at this time - check your locals-.

Now with the pesky democrats out of town on congressional break, the white house propaganda machine, along with our compliant media , is in full swing.

One of the things that I find encouraging today is the increasing number of LTTE in many newspapers across the country, that are advocating positions that a few short years ago, were too often only heard on progressive internet sites like DU. It's a small example, I know, but an important one. I think that we do well to exercise those "democratic muscles" defined in the Bill of Rights, particularly Amendment 1.

7. I saw Wolf interview Carl Levin. I understood completely ...

the Americans should withdraw. Why can't others understand, as Carl says, that no matter how many troops for whatever time, the Iraqis have to find a political solution?

The propaganda machine is geared up to declare Bush the General MacArthur of the Middle East.

People have to point out the Iraqis will never live in peace as long as they fail to reach an agreement amongst themselves. Maliki is not looking to live with the Sunnis, for starters.
