Our country was, even with its inevitable flaws, once a decent and beautiful place to live and bring up our children. We were a proud nation, and the majority respected the differences that were inherent in such a diverse culture.

Today, we are standing on the rubble of this once proud nation. Our beliefs and our society have been shattered beyond recognition. We are in crisis. And we need your help.

We ask only that you stand with us in this, the hour of our pain.
