So, I had this REALLY wierd dream last night...
Edited on Sun Aug-05-07 11:13 AM by jtg33
The bulk of the dream took place at night. I was going somewhere with my friends, driving somewhere. They were all in one car and I was alone in my car. At an intersection, I was stopped at a light and I made eye contact with a cop as he was on another part of the road. He stopped, squinted his eyes, and pointed for me to pull into a nearby parking lot, turning on his lights.

So I obeyed... I followed into the parking lot to find, to my surprise, three other cop cars already there and a couple cops interviewing a man who hunched his shoulders. After a few minutes a couple of cops came over to my car and said that, because of some person I had met once, I was under surveillance as a suspected terrorist and anarchist. I asked them what they meant, and this guy who looked like he was a detective - wearing the white shirt and tie, those suspenders with the holster on the side, and black pants, came over to my car and thrust his finger in my face.

"We're watching you, you got it? You slip up, and you'll disappear."

They then let me go, and the next thing I remember of the dream was being at my parents' house, feeling paranoid. I was in the garage with my laptop for some reason, and I was trying to come to DU to ask what I should do about the confrontation last night. As I logged onto the internet, it was as though somebody else was clicking links for me - I was suddenly at some government website, going to an obscure corner where there was some video detailing some terrorist plans. I closed the browser as quickly as I could, knowing that if the Feds raided my house, they would use that site as evidence against me.

At this point in my dream, I was panicking. I knew they were coming for me, but I had no proof. I tried to write down everything that was happening, everything they had said, everything that I thought was going to happen... I tried to type it up, and put it on different files and try to hide them and give them to my friends and family.

But my computer wouldn't respond. I couldn't type anything, I couldn't save anything, and I knew that nobody would find me if they took me. Then there was a knock on the garage door, and i heard the voice of the detective from earlier.

"It's time. You're coming with us."

And that's when I woke up. I was so convinced for a while that I wouldn't be able to log onto Du today, that they already WERE after me...

Maybe I need to wear my tin foil hat today... Just to be safe...

:tinfoilhat:

On edit: Sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

1. dreams
I have dreams like this too, from time to time...your unconscious mind is reflecting what you fear in waking life.

2. I agree completely.
It doesn't help that I'm on here every day with all the other so-called "crazies" and "conspiracy theorists," but if we ignore the problem it'll only get worse.

I suppose it's good that this is only the FIRST dream I've had like this.

3. I think it is getting better
a lot of folks lost their heads after 9-11 but now they are asking themselves why did we do this. Why have we spent billions of
dollars and are no safer. You can only run on fear for so long. They have nothing else, they rule by bullying, it is their
meat and drink, they have nothing else and they want nothing else. They have made the White House into a frat house
but the beer party with the in crowd is only going to last so long. People are fed up, the crowd is restless and
they are going back to their normal lives. People don't want to spend their lives just getting by while someone
else is having a 5 star beer blast on their money.

4. I HOPE it's getting better...
... but right now it looks like it's only getting worse. There are plenty of other things to focus on in life - but if these problems with the government continue, then they'll encompass EVERYTHING in life.

I get the feeling it's going to be one of THOSE days today...

the only reason Bush got FISA through was his terra, terra, terra, full-blown, ooga-booga act,
it's the only one he has left. People don't like him and they don't trust him. Bush could not get
privatized SSN through or even an immigration bill. Grover Norquist's "drown federal government"
has been wholly discredited. Bush has become super NSA man becuz it's his last stronghold.
I remember hearing that while he was at the G-8, he was ignored and Secretary Rice is now making
calls with the Secretary of Defense in tow, I have never seen things like this occur before.

6. Interesting dream! I also had a disturbing one last night--
I was given a deck of cards, sort of a cross between flash cards and tarot cards. I was told to draw eight of them and when I turned them over, they had pictures with words. The cards I remember: concentration camps, constitution, pilgrims, leaders, weapons. There were also several cards with different pictures that stood for "rights" as though the cards reflected the nuances or degrees of freedoms and rights. I was supposed to put the cards in some kind of order. I remember placing the pilgrim card last, hoping that the sequence would end with a new, positive rebirth of our nation's "founding". But perhaps it means I will be a pilgrim looking for a new country...

I awoke a little disturbed.
