2. I can't raise my hand because I fully expected 'our' reps to do what they
did. Why would they support the American people now when aiding and abetting and covering for the crimes of this administration have worked so well thus far?

This party has to change. Selling us out is not the same as representing our interests. And everytime someone points that out someone here will come along with snide insults regarding either the poster's patriotism or right to be here or intelligence like that's really gonna sway anyone's opinion. It just shows the weakness of their argument. And their inability to accept that maybe, just maybe, they might be wrrr-wrrr-wrrr-wrong.

My children and grandchildren need, no deserve, to grow up in a country that follows the tenets and doctrine put forth by the people who founded this country, not some arrogant asses who think they are the law, that this government belongs to them. It belongs to the people, we are the government. And too many times people forget that. Certainly a large group of the dems we elected in 2004 have. They were sent there to stop the erosion of our rights, to stop the the bleeding of our trooops and our treasure. Instead, they've held 'hearings' that go nowhere, issued subpoenas that no one cares about, and voted with the administration on each and every important vote. THAT IS NOT WHAT THEY WERE SENT TO WASHINGTON TO DO. Cutting secret 'trade deals' about which we are not given the details is not what they were sent to do. Giving funding for this 'war' in Iraq is not what they were sent there to do. Covering for the criminal activities in regard to wire taps and reading our e-mails and secretly searching our homes is NOT WHAT THEY WERE SENT THERE TO DO. What part of that is so damn hard for some people to understand???

3. I thought it would fail
I thought voter anger over re-funding the war and the Gonzales hearings would be enough to make them take a stand. I just do not understand this. Who do we turn to now? I'm so disgusted with these cowards, triangulators, enablers.
