Any tips on how to navigate Daily Kos?

I know there's a ton of good stuff there, and with YearlyKos even more, but every time I visit that site I feel totally lost. There don't seem to be any 'greatest' topic ratings, any 'topics' at all, or much of any rhyme or reason to how the site's laid out.

Do you just spend 20 minutes hunting around and clicking on topics that look interesting?

Am I missing something?

I spent a lot of years killing brain cells, like AWOL. Maybe I'm just too dumb for that site? ;-)

Many of sites I visit make me yen for that old DU porch.

2. I've found it to be not user friendly, too.

But I've never gotten the hang of the blog format at any site. I like DU better, where the discussions are up front and the blogs, or journals, are in the back.

I have tried to navigate that site as well and just figured it was my own techno-idiocy. Just glad to know I am not the only one.

anymore because it's so hard to navigate and figure out...
