I'm not saying I'm giving up. I'll never give up, un-till I am put in a re-education camp and tortured.

I only say this because, with the total spineless failure of the democrats in both the congress and senate to protect our Civil Rights, Bush's dictatorial powers are almost complete.

I see that their actions speak louder than words. This congress is a failure, they've failed us when we've needed them most.

Having the executive branch oversee themselves with domestic spying!!!!!!!!! Gonzo!!!!!!!!What???????

All the people who say the "Fix IS IN" on DU have been right all along.

It happened here last night. The first dictator of the UNited Sates of America was born when they legitimized warrant-less spying so they could go on their summer break.

Pathetic.

1. Summer vacations are more important than protecting...........
the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Don't want to hear THEM bitching about the Iraqi politicians and their summer vacation; both political bodies are worthless.

7. I think our congresscritters got a big glug of Kool-Aid from
Chertoff and Santorum....do the critters think a terra attack is imminent and just in case they passed the bill not to look weak on terror. Remember Nancy wrote a letter right of passage of FISA saying they'd revisit the bill when they get back from their vacation(if a terra attack doesn't happen?) Oh, I forgot to tell you I have my tin foil hat on! And can someone please tell me why we're supposed to feel safer?

11. Q
would be so very proud. Power corrupts, money corrupts, Power = Money and Money = Power, Dems feel that their supporters are trash, they have zero respect for their supporters, they support Bush over their own voters, they spit on all. It's all about the money! I am very angry, so I am thinking about living in the woods and never coming out. Can't count on social security either, Bush and his followers, which includers Dems, want to give it all to Wall Street. I think Dems know something we do not know. Polls? They mean nothing, polls would mean nothing to Hitler. Voters do not count anymore, they are not needed. Burn the Constitution and enjoy their vacation, they gave themselves a raise. Why? They have no shame. Troops dying every day, they do not care. We have a few who do care, but the corporations will make sure they are not heard, and if they are heard, it will not really matter. America is a plutocracy, nothing else, and that is a fact!

The average IQ in America is absurd, scary, politicians know they can lead the sheep anywhere they so desire. I might not even bother to vote for the first time since I became old enough to do such. Was Nader correct? There is nothing but depressing news for those who love the Constitution, but there is only good news for the corporations. Enough it enough. I wish I had Congress' retirement plan, their healthcare. Congress made it legal for them to get insider information while it is illegal for anyone else. It goes on and on and on. All appears to be lost, so I am preparing for the final takeover, perhaps ignorance is bliss. For those who know better, there is no peace of mind.
